1. The President address Prof C Scully (CS), at the end of the term, thanks all the Council
Members for the work of the past two years and Prof Reichart and his team for the organisation
of the meeting.
2. 2006 Zagreb Meeting CS introduces Dr Ivan Alajbeg, the representative of Croatian local
committee, who updates the Membership on the organisation of the next EAOM Meeting. Prof.
Joanna Zakrzewska asks to introduce in the Scientific Programme workshops and/or discussion
spaces.
3. EAOM Web site The Secretary Dr Giovanni Lodi (GL) thanks the Eastman Dental Institute for the
hospitality given to the EAOM web site and presents the new features now available, including
the Oral Medicine Handbook, the members' directory and the National Oral Medicine Societies
page.
4. Financial review The Treasurer Dr Tim Hodgson (TH) illustrates the financial resources of the
Society. At the moment there is a surplus that is expected to increase thanks to the present
meeting surplus. TH also recommends that all members check personal details, in particular
email address, in order to update membership database.
5. Constitution modifications Prof Stephen Challacombe (SC) illustrates the new Constitution that
the whole membership will be asked to approve by an email ballot. The main changes include:
the introduction of Past President, Elect President and Regional Representatives, who, together
with President, Treasurer and Secretary, will form the Board. The final draft of the New
Constitution will be sent by email to all members, that will vote for its approval.
6. Nominations for the new Board GL presents the nominations for the regional Representatives
that he received before the meeting. They include: Region 1 (Ireland, United Kingdom) Stephen
Porter (United Kingdom) and Penelope Shirlaw (United Kingdom); Region 2 (Denmark, Estonia,
Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden) Mats Jontell (Sweden) and Tuula Salo
(Finland); Region 3 (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Luxemburg,
Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia) Johann Beck-Mannagetta (Austria) and Andrea Schmidt-
Westhausen (Germany); Region 4 (France, Italy, Malta, Portugal, Spain) Jose M Aguirre (Spain),
Jose Bagan (Spain), Gianfranco Favia (Italy), Pedro Trancoso (Portugal); Region 5 (Bosnia
Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey) Gulsum Ak
