Oral carcinogenesis is a multi-step process, which is characterized by genetic, epigenetic and phenotypic changes.
Many of these changes involve activation of metabolic pathways that endow the cells with aggressive growth and survival characteristics.
The signals between the cells are not composed by linear array of signalling molecules, but a three dimensional process which involves cytoskeletal structures, receptor complexes, adapter proteins and targeting molecules.
For the June and July EAOM JC,
I suggest that you read at least two of the articles in Nature Insight

The review articles have been suggested by Dr Stephen Flint.
With these articles I will end my term as responsible for the EAOM JC.
I wish you all a relaxing vacation and I´m looking forward to seeing you in August in Zagreb.
