9^th Congress of the European Association of Oral Medicine in Salzburg, Austria

On behalf of the Organizing Committee we would like to thank you for your interest in the

 

9^th Congress of the European Association of Oral Medicine

Translational oral medicne: the potential impact of lab based research on patient care

 

The meeting is jointly organized by the Austrian Dental Society in Salzburg (ÖGZMK) and the Paracelsus Medical Private University. We would be delighted if you could join us at this scientific event.

 

The Congress will take place 18th-20th September 2008 (Thu through Sat) in Salzburg, Austria.

 

Main topics:   “The burning mouth” plenary session chaired by Professor Joanna Zakrzewska

The genetic basis of head and neck disease and facial morphology plenary session chaired by Professor Stephen Porter

Clinico-Pathological case based discussion lead by Professor Peter Reichart and Dr Carlos Madrid

Updates in Oral Medicine lead by Dr Ulf Mattson

Original research and case oral presentations, poster sessions peer review lead by scientific committee chair Professor Matts Jontell

 

The congress venue is the WIFI (Wirtschaftsförderungsinstitut – The Institute for the Promotion of Commerce) and a seection of hotels are situated close to this venue and can easily be reached from the airport (5km) or the train station (0.8km).

The Congress will begin with the opening ceremony on the evening of Thursday, 18^th September 2008. On Friday and Saturday the scientific program includes lectures in parallel sessions, presentations of original research and clinical cases and a round table discussion by international invited speakers. Key lectures will be simultaneously translated into German. On Saturday a lecture hall is dedicated to oral presentations in German.  The final event is the Gala Dinner which is to be held in an exquisite medieval restaurant and will include the presentation of the EAOM awards.

 

Registration, accomodation and sightseeing trips for accompanying persons will be handled via our Website.
